The Authorization Characteristics Menu

The Authorization Characteristics Menu is used to add, remove, display, and query characteristics for either the selected PUID or any PUID known to I2A2.

Characteristics are authorization information stored for each PUID. Authorization differs from authentication in that authentication is tied to identity (viz., proving you are who you say you are) and authorization is tied to rights (what you can do).

Characteristics may be either basic, public, or private. Characteristics set using the Secure Web Interface are always private.
