Re: Rob Wynkoop promoted to vice president for Auxiliary Services

Dear colleagues,

Please join me in congratulating Rob Wynkoop for his promotion from associate vice president to vice president for Auxiliary Services in Administrative Operations.

Over the past few years, Rob has successfully managed Auxiliary Services, resulting in improved customer service and financial performance. He was instrumental in the execution of operating agreements with private-sector partners for the Union Club Hotel and retail dining. In FY22, Administrative Operations saw a $3 million surplus for all income-producing activities, largely due to Rob and his organization's efforts.

By partnering with various Administrative Operations and university stakeholders, Rob and his Real Estate and Space Administration team are successfully reimagining campus space to add more high-quality classroom, study, collaboration and public spaces within existing facility footprints. Additionally, the same team was instrumental in the 2022 acquisition of the Aspire apartment complex, which increased student housing inventory quality and capacity.

As vice president for Auxiliary Services, Rob will continue to manage Procurement Services, Real Estate and Space Administration, the Purdue Memorial Union, Airport Operations, Parking and Transportation, and Materials Management and Distribution. His organization has 90 staff members and a $20 million annual operating budget.

Rob is a proven leader who promotes innovative ideas and solutions, supports his staff and can be counted on to achieve excellent results. Rob continues to report to me directly and can be reached at wynkoop@purdue.edu
