Symposium will focus on free speech for advancing healthy civil discourse on university campuses

Today (Dec. 5), Purdue will host a symposium focusing on the vital role that open debate and civil discourse play in advancing a healthy campus culture of learning and engagement. The symposium is part of “MitchFest,” a series of public events celebrating the legacy of retiring President Mitch Daniels.

State Street to be renamed Mitch Daniels Boulevard in honor of President Mitch Daniels

To honor President Mitch Daniels’ decade of leadership at Purdue University, the city of West Lafayette along with Purdue University trustees have agreed to rename a portion of State Street in West Lafayette as Mitch Daniels Boulevard. The naming was announced publicly Friday (Dec. 2) by Michael Berghoff, chairman of Purdue’s Board of Trustees, as the university community began its MitchFest celebration. Orlando bound: Purdue Football accepts invitation to Citrus Bowl

For the first time since 2006, Purdue Football's bowl destination resides within the Sunshine State. Head coach Jeff Brohm's Boilermakers have accepted an invitation to play in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl on Jan. 2 at 1 p.m. ET, facing off against No. 17 LSU.
