Future of Work survey findings demonstrate continued interest in hybrid, remote work

Over the last two months, faculty, staff and graduate students have participated in multiple feedback opportunities — department meetings, the workplace experience survey and focus groups — for how the University can best support its workforce. Important trends about working remotely and how to do that well have emerged in analysis of the survey results.

Elliott Hall of Music on Saturday (Aug. 7) once again came to life as students crossed the stage for the August 2021 commencement ceremonies. Eligible to participate in the ceremonies were 1,409 candidates — 474 undergraduate, 529 master’s, 393 Ph.D. and 13 professional program students. Also participating were 106 alumni who were not able to participate in previous commencements.

A maze of blood vessels helps protect the human brain from contaminants, but it can be an obstacle to treatments, too. Now a Purdue scientist has mapped changes to this brain barrier during lung cancer and after blast-induced traumatic injuries — steps toward understanding how to improve drug delivery and other care.

Drews leads Team USA to Olympic gold in women's volleyball

Purdue alumna Annie Drews led USA women’s volleyball to the Olympic gold medal Sunday (Aug. 8) with a team-high 14 attack points. It was the nation’s first gold medal in the event.
