Purdue to launch Indiana Digital Crossroads with $10 million grant from Lilly Endowment

Thanks to a $10 million grant from Lilly Endowment Inc., Purdue will launch the Indiana Digital Crossroads, an initiative that will take the University's Data Mine concept beyond the West Lafayette campus. Students who become involved with the Indiana Digital Crossroads will learn data science skills through immersive engagement with Indiana-based companies that will potentially lead to careers in Indiana, enhancing the state’s surging tech sector.

In-person classes are a positive factor in the student learning experience, leading to greater well-being and academic success. With data showing no in-class transmission of COVID-19 at Purdue, Vice Provost Jenna Rickus says that Purdue classrooms are one of the safest places you could be.

Photos: Purdue opens COVID-19 vaccine clinic

On Tuesday (April 6), Purdue opened a COVID-19 vaccine distribution site on campus to help vaccinate as many Boilermakers as possible  — another major step toward a return to normalcy in the yearlong battle against the pandemic.
