Bayer commits to opening space in Purdue University’s Discovery Park District

Purdue announced Thursday (June 18) that Bayer, a global life sciences company, intends to open Bayer at Convergence in Purdue’s Discovery Park District. When fully staffed, the Bayer space in the Convergence Center for Innovation and Collaboration will employ students who will enhance and augment a robust agricultural innovation portfolio with additional enabling capabilities like information technology, data science and engineering.

Puzzling 'excess events' may be pointing to dark matter, scientists say

Most of the universe is thought to be made up of dark matter, a mysterious material whose existence has been only implied and never actually detected. This week, however, in a paper co-authored by 163 scientists from 11 countries, researchers describe what for now they are calling "excess events," which occurred in the background of the experiment.

Mandy Rispoli, professor of special education, offers advice in a video to help families of children with disabilities learning at home during the COVID-19 pandemic. Rispoli's video is part of a collection on the "Purdue Experts on COVID-19” website, which is designed for Purdue faculty from a wide variety of disciplines to share their expertise.
