Examples of funded grant applications include but are not limited to professional education or certification; attendance at lectures, conferences and seminars; or tuition assistance for academic classes.

Five Purdue students
attending Iowa caucuses as C-SPAN interns

Five Purdue undergraduate students are in Des Moines, Iowa, to cover the Iowa Democratic caucuses as interns for C-SPAN. Students will assist C-SPAN television crews both in the field and for the Washington Journal morning program as the network covers presidential campaign events and the results of the Iowa caucuses. Students will stay together in a house and will receive assignments each evening for the next day, including attending a caucus today (Feb. 3).

A mother who lost three children to a rare disease returned to Purdue to study nursing to help others. A scientist who watched her Parkinson’s patients struggle to communicate created a life-changing communication device.
