Transition to D2L Brightspace learning management system starts Tuesday

West Lafayette faculty and staff will gain access to the Brightspace learning management system on Tuesday (Jan. 21) and can start building new content in it and migrating existing courses from Blackboard Learn.

Third Street to become new people-friendly corridor

Third Street on Purdue’s campus will have an all-new and more friendly look and feel when the 2020-21 academic year begins, thanks to a plan to eliminate vehicular traffic from Martin Jischke Drive to University Street.

Loretta Lynch, Jeff Flake to headline MLK events at Purdue

Loretta Lynch, who served as the nation’s 83rd attorney general, and former U.S. Sen. Jeff Flake will be the keynote speakers at this year’s Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration at Purdue. Lynch and Flake will discuss King’s legacy and introduce Purdue’s programmatic theme for 2020, “Democracy, Civility, and Freedom of Expression,” during their moderated talk at 7 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 22) in Stewart Center’s Loeb Playhouse.

Warriors hate war perhaps more than anybody else. They have to see it up close and very personal. And what they see can affect their mental health, ranging from depression and anxiety to PTSD, or post-traumatic stress disorder, to suicidal thoughts and the potential to committing suicide. Professor Shelley MacDermid Wadsworth, director of the Military Family Research Institute, studies risk and resilience in military families.
