Purdue faculty and staff still have time to earn the 2019 Healthy Boiler incentives. The deadline to complete and upload physical and biometrics screening information into the Healthy Boiler portal is Sept. 30.

Daniels to test new Harley-Davidson all-electric motorcycle to kick off student recruiting event

Purdue University President Mitch Daniels will participate in a Harley-Davidson motorcycle ride through campus on Monday (Sept. 16) to test drive the new all-electric Harley-Davidson LiveWire motorcycle. Daniels has owned and ridden motorcycles for nearly 50 years, including several Harley-Davidsons, but has never been on an electric bike until now.

Ochoa

NASA astronaut to talk on international collaboration in space exploration

NASA astronaut Ellen Ochoa, who directed the Johnson Space Center, will speak at Purdue on Sept. 26. The space center's first Hispanic director, Ochoa is its second female director. The event has limited seating but a few seats will be available for the public on a first-come, first-served basis. The Ideas Festival event is focused on the question "What IF We Led an International Collaboration in Space Exploration?"

Saturday brings football, Band Day to Ross-Ade

It is a primetime Big Ten-Big 12 showdown as Purdue hosts TCU at Ross-Ade Stadium on Saturday (Sept. 14). Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m., and the game will be televised by BTN. Saturday's game also will feature some 1,650 students from 28 high schools performing with the Purdue "All-American" Marching Band during the halftime show as part of the annual Band Day. Tickets | Game notes | More gameday activities
