Honoring the past by looking to the future, Purdue is celebrating its sesquicentennial by tackling some of the biggest questions in the fields of artificial intelligence, space, health and sustainability. Could a child today live to be 150? How can humans live and work in space? How can we be sure that sustainability is inclusive and equitable? How does automation shape our future? The Big Ten Network is running a new spot highlighting the University’s charge to meet these challenges. Watch for the video during BTN’s Purdue programming or on the BTN LiveBIG YouTube channel.

Getting young students interested in science and math may soon be much easier for teachers — as easy as point, click and print. The Shape of Science LLC, a Purdue-affiliated startup, provides an online portal for high school teachers looking for interactive lesson plans related to science, technology, engineering and math. Teachers are able to log in to the site, search for lesson plans and then use a 3D printer to prepare them for students.
