Purdue Profile: Daniel Padberg

Even after 45 years of collegiate teaching, Daniel Padberg still enjoys sharing his love of communication and theatre with his students.

Since 1993, Padberg has been a full-time assistant and associate professor of communication at Purdue North Central, where he teaches both communication and theatre classes, including a class called An Introduction to Oral Interpretation, which Padberg helped develop. Now in its 25th year, this class allows students to orally interpret literary works through a program called Reader's Theatre.

Anthem offering one-on-one appointments on Friday

Anthem representatives will be available on Friday (March 7) at the West Lafayette campus to meet one-on-one with employees about their 2014 Purdue medical coverage. Anthem is Purdue's 2014 medical plan administrator.

The Barbara Cook Chapter of Mortar Board is accepting nominations and applications for the 2014 Challenge Scholarship, which will be presented to four outstanding sophomore students. The deadline is 5 p.m. March 14.

Bunch, Mostert earn Big Ten indoor track and field awards

Purdue's Raheem Mostert was named Big Ten Track Athlete of the Championships and Dani Bunch was named Big Ten Field Athlete of the Year when the Big Ten Conference released its award winners Tuesday (March 4) for the 2014 indoor track and field season.

Men's tennis set for College MatchDay

The Purdue men's tennis team's match today (March 5) against DePaul is part of the USTA's College MatchDay series, featuring festivities before and during the match. Fans will have the chance to play against former Purdue basketball player Brian Cardinal at 3 p.m. before the match begins at 4 p.m. at Schwartz Tennis Center.
