Home to more than 300 types of trees and plants, Horticulture Park provides a nearby escape from Purdue's campus, as well as academic experiences for horticulture and forestry classes. Located on State Road 26 just west of McCormick Road, the 24-acre park officially opened May 10, 1967.

Changes to the Printing Services organization and functions will become effective Monday (May 6).
Purdue Extended Campus is inviting Purdue faculty members to submit proposals to develop and teach a massive open online course (MOOC). Detailed information and the preliminary proposal form are available at www.distance.purdue.edu/moocrfp. Preliminary proposals are due by May 17.
Registration for Spring Fling, the annual appreciation event for faculty, staff, graduate student staff and retirees, will be accepted through 5 p.m. May 10.

General news
The College of Health and Human Sciences is accepting nominations for the 12th annual Inspiring Families and Building Communities Award.
The 2013-15 budget approved by the Indiana General Assembly includes a key provision that will allow Purdue North Central to move forward with construction of a new Student Services and Activities Complex on its Westville campus.
Purdue sports
The No. 28 Purdue women's tennis team earned a bid to the 2013 NCAA Division I Women's Tennis Championships and will face South Carolina in the first round. The Boilermakers travel to the Miami regional where the Hurricanes will host North Florida in the other match.
All five Purdue starters garnered Big Ten postseason honors after guiding the Boilermakers to a share of the 2013 Women's Golf Big Ten championship.
