Purdue dance company to present Winter Works concert

The Purdue Contemporary Dance Company will present seven new selected works by faculty and student artists at its Winter Works 2012 dance concert on Dec. 7 and 8. "This winter's performance includes works dealing with current political and societal issues, as well as those exploring human drama," says Carol Cunningham-Sigman, professor in the School of Visual and Performing Arts and choreographer. "We are also happy to feature the music created by visual and performing arts' sound design majors for many of the dance works."

One Brick Higher presented to faculty members leading core curriculum effort

Two faculty members who have led the core curriculum initiative, Teresa Taber Doughty and Teri Reed-Rhoads, were honored Tuesday (Dec. 4) with Purdue's One Brick Higher Award.

Archived webcast of President's Forum available

An archived webcast, presentation slides and data sheet from Tuesday's President's Forum are available at www.purdue.edu/president/speeches/forums.html. The forum featured a brief campus update by acting President Tim Sands and a presentation/discussion titled "Purdue: Four Campuses, One University."

Purdue Today schedule for semester break

Purdue Today will reduce its publishing schedule during semester break. It will be published daily through Friday (Dec. 7), and then Dec. 10, 13 and 17. Purdue Today will resume daily publication on Jan. 7.

Dry November, warm December no reason to panic about more drought
