Action required by May 13 to avoid losing medical coverage on dependents

Faculty and staff members who cover dependents on their Purdue medical plan have until May 13 to provide required dependent information and verification documents. Dependents will be dropped from medical coverage if employees do not submit the required documentation by the due date. More

Clerical and service staff need to use personal holiday by June 21

Clerical and service employees need to use their 2008-09 paid personal holiday on or before June 21. Paid personal holidays do not carry over into the new fiscal year, so use by the June 21 deadline will ensure that clerical and service staff are able to take advantage of this University-provided benefit.  More

School of Veterinary Medicine marks 50th anniversary

On Sept. 9, 1959, 50 students were welcomed to campus as the first class to attend Purdue's new School of Veterinary Medicine. Forty-four of these students would go on to shake hands with President Frederick Hovde and Dean Erskine Morse as they received their diplomas four years later. Today, more than 2,700 doctors of veterinary medicine and more than 800 veterinary technicians have graduated from the school, which is in the midst of celebrating its 50th anniversary. More
