TDA companies to offer on-campus sessions in November, December

Representatives from three of Purdue's five sponsored tax-deferred annuity companies will be on the West Lafayette campus during November and December for one-on-one meetings with faculty and staff. More

2009 benefits enrollment information to be included in kits, redesigned Benefits Bulletin

Open enrollment for 2009 benefits is about to begin. Enrollment kits will go into the mail Friday (Oct. 24). Faculty and staff will have until Friday, Nov. 7, to turn in their 2009 enrollment forms.

A Benefits Bulletin with enrollment information is being mailed today. The Benefits Bulletin, which was first published in 1986, has been redesigned and includes new features, such as "What Do You Think?" and "How I Did It."

Teaching Academy to induct 14 tonight

Purdue's Teaching Academy, which recognizes and fosters outstanding teaching and learning, will welcome 14 new members this evening (Oct. 22). The induction ceremony, which is open to all, will start at 7:30 p.m. in the East and West Faculty Lounges of Purdue Memorial Union, following a 7 p.m. reception. Provost Randy Woodson will give remarks during the program. More

Pharmacy professor honored for improving lives, creating jobs

Prescription drugs have improved in quality and high-paying jobs have been created, thanks in part to a Purdue professor who is the 2008 recipient of the University's Outstanding Commercialization Award. The award, sponsored by the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership, is being presented to Stephen Byrn, the Charles B. Jordan Professor of Medicinal Chemistry. Byrn also is head of the Department of Industrial and Physical Pharmacy and co-founder and consultant for SSCI (Solid State Chemical Information) Inc., an Aptuit company. More
