Today's cybersecurity session focuses on phones, tech toys

What new technology will we see next year? What trends will we see? Will these be good or bad? All portable devices incur greater security risks. How can you protect yourself and not live in a cave?

Today's cybersecurity training presentation will feature "Phones and Tech Toys: Who Can Hear Me Now?" It is scheduled for 9-11 a.m. in Fowler Hall, Stewart Center.

Presenters are Aaron Jarvis, network engineer in Purdue's IT Networks and Security division; Ryan Fisher of Verizon; and Eric Cole, lead instructor from SANS institute.

The session will examine insights gathered from real security incidents and will look at critical trends in data theft.
