Paying for College as a 21st Century Scholar
Your 21st Century Scholars award covers up to four years (eight semesters) of tuition at public universities in Indiana, including Purdue University. Because it is tuition-only, 21st Century Scholars award does not include other costs associated with college, such as housing, meals, textbooks, and miscellaneous expenses. Review the estimated Cost of Purdue for more information.
With a little over half of the cost of college attendance still remaining after 21st Century Scholars awarde is applied, it’s important to look for additional sources of aid. We encourage our 21st Century Scholars to consider the following financial support systems that Purdue offers:
- Other gift aid (free money)
- Academic/department scholarships - check with your major/college to discuss opportunities for earning academic scholarships
- Federal Work Study
- Student loans
Are you a 21st Century Scholar with a combined family income of $50,000 or less? You may qualify for Purdue Promise, a program that provides additional financial aid and support to eligible 21st Century Scholars.
