About Basic Needs Program

No student should have to choose between their education and their basic needs. Our program exists to help students at Purdue University access vital community resources like food assistance, housing and more. By working with students directly and collaborating with faculty and staff, we are removing barriers so Boilermakers can focus on succeeding.

Students Outside of West Lafayette

The Basic Needs Program serves students located on Purdue University’s West Lafayette campus. Students enrolled in Indianapolis or through Purdue Online may find some information helpful, but not all resources are available outside of West Lafayette. Similarly, students of Purdue Global who are residents of Indiana may find some information helpful, but not all resources will be available to them. For more information, please contact us.

For information about resources available through Purdue, please visit the Office of the Dean of Students website.
