Dr. Thomas Caulfield is the president and CEO of GlobalFoundries, leading the company since March 2018 and overseeing its landmark initial public offering in October 2021.
He joined GlobalFoundries in 2014 as senior vice president and general manager of Fab 8.
With a rich career in engineering and executive management, Caulfield has held key roles at Soraa, Ausra, Novellus Systems and IBM. He also serves on the board of Western Digital Corp.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in physics from St. Lawrence University and advanced degrees in materials science and engineering from Columbia University.
