Lisa Su, one of the most influential leaders in global technology, is the visionary chief executive officer and chair of semiconductor company Advanced Micro Devices Inc., known as AMD.
Dr. Su holds bachelor’s, master’s and PhD degrees in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She is an IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) fellow, and a member of the National Academy of Engineering and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
Time magazine named Dr. Su its 2024 CEO of the Year, and she has received the Global Semiconductor Alliance’s Dr. Morris Chang Exemplary Leadership Award and the Semiconductor Industry Association’s Robert N. Noyce Award. She serves as chair of the board of directors of the Semiconductor Industry Association.
Prior to AMD, Dr. Su served as senior vice president and general manager of networking and multimedia at Freescale and spent 13 years at IBM in engineering and business leadership positions.
