2025 at Purdue: A Boilermaker Year in Review
2025 has been a year of records in Purdue history: the most selective incoming class and the first time that the annual research expenditure exceeded $1 billion, as well as in the history of American higher education, with the largest university-industry research partnership (the Lilly $250 million grant) and the largest number of donors in one day (2025 Day of Giving that launched the campaign). The home of Amelia Earhart opened the Earhart Terminal at the Purdue Airport, and the Cradle of Astronauts will become the first “university in space” with an all-Purdue crew flight.
2025 has been a year of strategic momentum: the unveiling of the AI@Purdue comprehensive strategy in Purdue Computes, the first full year of our Indianapolis expansion of the main campus, the tremendous growth of the Daniels School of Business and the creation of the One Health Innovation District.
2025 has been a year of continued stability and excellence at Purdue: a top 10 public university and the No. 1 free speech public university in America. Thank you all for your contributions, and Boiler Up!
