Welcome Dr. Jake Kinnun (new postdoc) to our group!

Jake joined the lab end of November 2017.  He comes with outstanding SS NMR expertise from his work on model membranes.  For his thesis, Jake investigated with Steve Wassall how DHA (the good omega-3 fatty acid we’re supposed to eat) affects size and composition of cholesterol-enriched domains in membranes.  The molecular mechanism by which omega-3 DHA alleviates symptoms of various diseases is not at all understood and Jake’s work provides some clues.  He’s a welcome addition to the lab!!
