WBAA fall member drive continues through Oct. 23

October 16, 2015

WBAA, Purdue's public radio station, began its fall member drive today (Oct. 16) with a "Power Hour." The Power Hour kicks off a weeklong push for station membership. The goal at WBAA, which airs NPR news, classical music and jazz, is to add 200 new members during the fall member drive.

"We have loyal support from our current members, but it is also important to grow our membership," says Mike Savage, general manager of WBAA. "Greater Lafayette and Purdue are vibrant communities with many people moving to this area each year. We want to reach out to new listeners to become members as well as those who have been listening for many years and may not yet have joined the WBAA family.

"We are also grateful to the many dedicated members who went above and beyond their usual giving and made additional gifts to encourage new membership. Their investment sends a powerful message to listeners that WBAA is a vital part of the community and needs the financial support of all listeners."

The fall member drive will continue through Oct. 23, and donations can be made online or by phone throughout the week.  More information about WBAA, including the program schedule, can be found at http://wbaa.org.
