Volunteers sought to honor MLK through day of service

Faculty, staff and students are invited to take part in Purdue's Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service on Jan. 18.

Day of Service volunteers will honor King's legacy by helping local community agencies focused on economic development, education, the environment and healthy living. The event is co-sponsored by the Black Cultural Center and Purdue's Civic Engagement and Leadership Development Office.

Volunteers will meet at 8 a.m. at the Córdova Recreational Sports Center, where a continental breakfast will be available. Service throughout Greater Lafayette will last through 1 p.m.
