New graduate degree links marketing to wide array of fields

October 9, 2015

The new master's degree in marketing program from Krannert School of Management is now accepting applications for its July 2016 cohort. Manu Kalwani, program director and OneAmerica Professor of Management, is encouraging Purdue colleagues to raise awareness about the Master of Science in marketing degree with their undergraduate students.

The degree, designed as a one-year program, is geared toward students with backgrounds in social sciences, health and human sciences, communications, business, computer science, engineering and statistics. The program launched in July.

Kalwani said the degree focuses on consulting projects, case studies, hands-on exercises and marketing simulations. Each student is matched with a corporate mentor from Purdue's Marketing Advisory Board. The mentors provide career and professional advice preparing students for careers in brand management, product management, business development, marketing research and analytics, and marketing consulting and strategy.
