Holiday cooking classes available this month

The Department of Nutrition Science will be hosting cooking classes that will feature healthy holiday appetizers.
Classes will be held 5:30-7 p.m. Dec. 14 and Dec. 17 in Lyles-Porter Hall, Demo Kitchen (Room 1107).
The hands-on cooking class will provide instruction by a registered dietitian, cooking and tasting of all recipes and a recipe booklet for participants to take home.
Dishes to be prepared include bacon arugula apple bites, cranberry-jalapeño salsa, roasted cauliflower and sesame spread, spicy quinoa bites and baked brie cups.
Classes are $20 each and are open to the public. Registration is required at www.conf.purdue.edu/NutritionCookingDemos.
Free parking is available after 5 p.m. in the Harrison Street Parking Garage.
