Yiwei Huang Honored with USDA Early Career Teaching Award

Yiwei Huang

Dr. Yiwei Huang has been recognized with a national Early Career Teaching Award as part of the USDA Excellence in College and University Teaching Awards for Food and Agricultural Sciences. The award is administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) in partnership with the Association of Public and Land‑grant Universities (APLU).

The Early Career Teaching Award honors faculty who demonstrate exceptional promise and achievement in teaching, student engagement, and innovation in food and agricultural sciences early in their academic careers. Huang was one of two early‑career honorees selected nationwide for the 2025 awards cycle. Awardees will be formally recognized during the 2026 APLU Annual Meeting.
