John P. Haven, who earned a B.S. in landscape architecture from Purdue’s College of Agriculture in 2001, was among nine alumni honored at the College of Agriculture’s Distinguished Agriculture Alumni Award ceremony Oct. 2, 2026, in West Lafayette, Ind.

As a principal at LeBlanc Jones Landscape Architects in Boston, Haven’s work caught the attention of New England Home magazine, which named him to its “5 Under 40” list in 2016.

His Pamet Bend project earned awards from the American Society of Landscape Architects and the Boston Society of Landscape Architects. The Boston jury noted the project “captured and enhanced the natural character of the landscape through exceptional selection of materials and plant palettes.”
