Garwood Orchards Field Day – July 9

A full day of learning and exploration awaits at Garwood Orchards on Thursday, July 9, in LaPorte, Indiana. Known as one of the top fruit and vegetable operations in the Midwest, Garwood Orchards offers a unique opportunity to see large-scale production paired with intensive, detail-oriented management.

The farm produces approximately 350 acres of vegetables and 250 acres of fruit, with a strong focus on innovation, including new cultivars, production practices and technology. U-pick and farm market operations are also key components of their business.

Participants will tour tree fruit, small fruit and vegetable production systems, while also gaining insight into farm marketing and operations. Whether your interests include specialty crops, production practices or direct-to-consumer marketing, there will be plenty to see and learn.
