Cultivating Plant Science: Hands-On Learning in the Purdue Extension Master Gardener Training

Karen Mitchell led a Plant Science module within the Purdue Extension Master Gardener Basic Training program for Hamilton County, instructing 30 students. Karen utilized hands-on activities, notably a flower dissection, to engage participants in an immersive learning experience. The program is aimed to enhance understanding of plant anatomy and biology at the beginning of a comprehensive course designed to equip future Extension Master Gardener volunteers with essential horticultural knowledge and skills.
