Southwest Purdue Agriculture Center hosted Pumpkin Field Day on Sep. 17, 2025. HLA Extension specialists Liz Maynard, Steve Meyers and Wenjing Guan; HLA graduate student Helen Angelina Nocito; and Extension specialists Laura Ingwell from Entomology Department and Cesar Escalante from Botany and Plant Pathology Department presented at the event.


Ashley Adair was a panelist for Missouri State University’s Public Affairs Conference on 9-18. The session, titled “Organic Foods: Are they safer or just a marketing ploy?” featured Ashley and Missouri Organic Association’s Program Coordinator, Jackie Casteel. About 143 people attended the session and asked questions related to organic food production, labeling, and safety.


The 2025 Purdue Extension Master Gardener (EMG) State Conference, held September 12–13 at the Hendricks County Fairgrounds in Danville, Indiana, was a vibrant celebration of learning, community, and volunteer impact.
