Grass to Garden Virtual Course Returns in October

Attendees seated at round tables listen to a presentation during an indoor Horticulture and Landscape Architecture event.

Purdue Extension’s Grass to Garden Virtual Course will help participants learn how to start and sustain community-based gardens that improve access to fresh produce while strengthening local communities. The four-part series will be offered virtually on Wednesdays, October 7, 14, 21, and 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. ET.

Co-led by educators and specialists from Purdue Extension Community Development and Agriculture and Natural Resources, the course explores different types of community gardens and provides practical guidance for starting a garden from the ground up. Participants will receive a manual, access to an online resource library, live instruction, activities, and support from experienced educators. The registration fee is $50.

For more information or to register, visit the course registration page.
