India (Western Rajasthan): leaves and tender stems used as greens. Malawi: leaves used in making ndiwo, a relish.  Niger: leaves eaten. Nutritional  values (leaves, Niger sample): Protein  = 30%, Mn = 105.17μg/g;  Fe = 329.09 μg/g; Ca = 22256μg/g; Magnesium = 12864μg/g; Cu = 6.59μg/g; Zn = 29.39μg/g.
