Garden Royalty:
Tulips & Rhododendrons
in the Netherlands &
the United Kingdom
April 21, – May 1, 2027
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Applications to participate will be accepted from October 5, 2026 until October 26, 2026, and thereafter if space is available.
Explore with other Master Gardeners from across the USA the history and glorious modern expressions of tulips in Holland and rhododendrons in southern England. In the Netherlands, we’ll find our own version of Tulipmania including the world-famous displays at Keukenhof. In England, the history of plant exploration will connect to the development of rhododendrons at Exbury and Leonardslee, as well as the exceptional beauty of massive display plantings such as Isabella Plantation and the Punch Bowl in the Crowne Estate of Windsor. Timed to hit the peak of bloom, color will be the order of the day throughout the program! Participants may elect to extend their travels on their own, for example to Amsterdam prior to the program and in London following its conclusion.
