Experience the seminal gardens of England that represent the sweep of history from Tudor times to the 20th C. From the castle garden made only for Queen Elizabeth I in 1675 to the glorious English Landscape Garden at Stourhead, to Vita Sackville West’s garden at Sissinghurst Castle, mid-summer provides the optimum time to revel in sweeping verdure, expansive perennial borders and “over-the-top” Victorian bedding. Participants may elect to extend their travels, on their own, to London prior to and/or following the program.

The Garden Royalty Program is FULL.
Garden Royalty:
Tulips & Rhododendrons
in the Netherlands &
the United Kingdom
April 26, 2026 – May 6, 2026
Applications to participate will be accepted from Sept. 15 to Sept. 29, 2025, and thereafter if space is available.
Explore the history and glorious modern expressions of tulips in Holland and of rhododendrons in southern England. In the Netherlands, we’ll find our own version of Tulipmania including the world-famous displays at Keukenhof. In England, the history of plant exploration will connect to the development of rhododendrons at Exbury and Leonardslee, as well as the exceptional beauty of massive display plantings such as Isabella Plantation and the Punch Bowl in the Crowne Estate of Windsor. Timed to hit the peak of bloom, color will be the order of the day throughout the program! Participants may elect to extend their travels, on their own, to Amsterdam prior to the program and in London following its conclusion.
