Meet Community Partners at May 14 Expo

For Purdue students, faculty, and staff, meaningful community engagement starts with the right partnerships.
On Thursday, May 14, 2026, the Leadership Lafayette Volunteer Expo offers a unique opportunity to connect directly with more than 60 Greater Lafayette-based organizations, all in one place.
Held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Tippecanoe County Fairgrounds – a short 9-minute drive from the heart of campus – this is more than a volunteer fair. It is a gateway to building partnerships that extend into classrooms, research initiatives, and long-term community engagement.

Community Involvement
Explore the wide range of organizations serving Greater Lafayette across youth development, arts and culture, recreation, mental health, wellness, and more. Whether you are new to the community or looking to deepen your involvement, the expo provides a space to connect with people and causes that matter to you.
Project Partnerships
The expo is a strategic opportunity for Purdue faculty, staff, and students to connect with organizations seeking meaningful collaboration.
Explore opportunities for:
- Service learning and community engaged courses
- Engaged research, extension, and outreach initiatives
- Student organization consulting and service projects
- Grant partnerships and applied community-based work
These connections often grow into sustained, reciprocal partnerships that advance both academic goals and community impact.
Leadership Development and Involvement
Many participating organizations are actively recruiting volunteers for boards, committees, and leadership roles. The expo offers a pathway to deepen your involvement while building valuable leadership experience.

The Volunteer Expo, powered by Duke Energy, is the capstone project for participants in Leadership Lafayette, a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing community leaders through experiential learning and civic engagement. This year’s cohort, Class 55, includes Purdue and Purdue Research Foundation staff members Luke Brenneman, Lisa Duncan, Stephanie Guinn, Nicole Martin, Nicole McCabe, Lisa Roark, and Erica Wilson.
