Get ready to celebrate! Purdue University’s commencement ceremonies are ticketed events to ensure every graduate has the opportunity to be celebrated. Secure tickets for guests, review Purdue’s ticket policy and discover available options to ensure everyone can be a part of this moment.

- Selling or reproducing tickets violates university policy.
- Every guest must have a ticket to enter the ceremony.

Guest Tickets
Each candidate planning to participate in commencement is guaranteed up to four guest tickets at no charge. All guests, including children, must have a ticket to enter the venue — this ensures compliance with fire safety codes.
Key details:
- Tickets are free and not for sale.
- Graduates don’t need a ticket.
- Spring commencement: Additional tickets cannot be granted due to venue capacity limits.
- Winter and summer commencement: Depending on anticipated attendance, the option to request additional tickets may be available, as communicated by the Office of the Registrar. Requested amounts are not guaranteed.
- Tickets are sent to your @purdue.edu email during the week of the ceremony.
- Purdue uses mobile ticketing. Each ticket is unique and traceable. They may not be sold, transferred for profit or copied.
- Any attempt to sell or duplicate tickets will be reported to the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities and may result in disciplinary action, including the reallocation of tickets.
Requesting Tickets
To request your tickets:
- Visit your myPurdue portal.
- Open the Commencement Task List once it becomes available (review Your Commencement Timeline for key dates).
- Indicate how many guest tickets you are requesting — up to four.
- Watch your @purdue.edu inbox the week of your ceremony for an email from Ticketmaster with a link to download your tickets.
Accessibility and Special Seating
A limited number of accessible seats are available on the first floor of Elliott Hall of Music on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests who require accessible seating must have a standard ticket from the graduate’s allotment. Each accessible seat includes one companion seat. Guests using accessible seating should enter through the northwest or southeast accessible entrances at Elliott Hall of Music. Those with specific access needs or concerns about the commencement venue are encouraged to contact us by email.
Overflow seating and livestream viewing will be available for guests without tickets in Fowler Hall, located in Stewart Center, on a first-come, first-served basis during spring commencement.

Overflow Seating (Spring Ceremonies Only)
For guests without tickets to spring commencement ceremonies, Eliza Fowler Hall in Stewart Center will offer a livestream viewing area on a first-come, first-served basis.
