About the Purdue Hitchhiker’s Symposium

Welcome to the 2019 Purdue Hitchhiker’s  Guide to the Biomolecular Galaxy Symposium website! This annual,  interdisciplinary symposium features various areas of study including physics,  chemistry, engineering, and biology. Over the years, interest in our symposium has steadily grown, and this year we expecting over 150 scientists from various regions in the Midwest to attend. This meeting is a great chance for researchers to communicate their ideas and progress in the form of a short talk and/or poster presentation.

This year’s mini-symposium will be held at Purdue University on May 8th-9th.

We are offering various prizes for best oral and poster presentations. Additionally, we are offering multiple Travel Awards of up to $300. We also encourage students and postdocs to take part in our free Career Session event May 7th, 2019 at Lafayette Brewing Co. to learn about different career paths and mingle with professionals in STEM.

Thanks to our generous sponsors, registration is free!!

Please visit our registration page to fill out the survey by Midnight (Eastern time) Friday,  March 15th, 2019 to confirm your attendance and submit abstracts.
