Intercultural Development for Students

Taking the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) is a great way to begin increasing in intercultural development. Followed up by a debrief and an individual development plan, students gain a new awareness of their current development and concrete next steps.

How to take the IDI

CILMAR offers the IDI inventory and debrief to students referred to the CILMAR IDI calendar by a professor or administrator who is using the IDI to assess the learning stage of an entire class or program. In general, if your professor has referred you to the IDI calendar, you should go here.

IDI Debriefs

If a professor or program administrator is requiring you to have an IDI debrief this semester, please choose "Yes, Schedule Online appointment" when using the IDI calendar. The debriefer will contact you to set up an appointment to meet over the phone, Skype, Zoom, Webex or the alternate e-method of your choice.

If in doubt, contact cilmar@purdue.edu for more information.
