Women in Engineering Program Dream It. Design It. Build It. Create It.

Imagination, Innovation, Discovery, and Design (I2D2)

I2D2 is an after-school academic year program for children in K-5th grade. I2D2 introduces young students in our community to engineering through creative and innovative hands-on engineering activities. Teams of current Purdue engineering students visit local schools, introduce these activities, and inspire young minds to become Purdue's future engineers. Twice a year, I2D2 presents an Open House in which young children can explore hands-on engineering concepts with their families. Children must be under parental supervision during the event.

Leadership Team Opportunities for the I2D2 Program

Those who are interested in becoming a part of the Leadership Team for the I2D2 program must be dynamic and responsible students. Students MUST be available from 3-5pm at least two (2) weekdays and attend a minimum of six (6) school visits, training sessions, and other outreach events (approx. 20 hours/semester).
