Purdue Day of Giving 2022 raises record $68.2 million

The ninth annual Purdue Day of Giving, held Wednesday (April 27), invited donors to power the university’s next giant leap, and they responded with a resounding $68.2 million in contributions, outstripping last year’s $52.5 million and setting a record for most dollars raised for higher education through a single-day campaign.

'This Is Purdue': Boilermakers for life: The Anthrop family

The new episode of “This Is Purdue” highlights the story of the Anthrop family, a Purdue Athletics legacy from West Lafayette. If you’re a Purdue sports fan, you’ve probably heard the name Anthrop. Brothers Dru, Danny and Jackson Anthrop were all Boilermaker athletes, and their father, John, played both basketball and baseball for Purdue. Listen in as the family shares highlights of what it was like growing up with Purdue essentially in their backyard, traveling to away games and how they balanced academics and athletics.

Now known as the Atlas Family Marketplace, the Purdue Memorial Union’s renovated ground floor looks like an entirely different space to most visitors. But when they see the many nods to Purdue and PMU history embedded within the new layout, even staunch Purdue traditionalists can find elements to appreciate about the additions to the century-old building. Daniels reappointed to ALL IN Higher Ed Presidents’ Council

President Mitch Daniels has been reappointed to the ALL IN Higher Education Presidents’ Council, a group formed in 2012 that has made significant strides in encouraging students to vote and engage with the democratic process. The council leads more than 330 U.S. college and university presidents, provosts and chancellors who have committed to full student voter registration through its ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge.

Aeronautics and astronautics professor William Crossley admits he is humbled to be named a 2022 winner of a Murphy Award. So much so that the longtime Purdue instructor, now in his 27th year as a faculty member, proudly views the honor as a lifetime achievement award.
