Purdue driving conversation on how agriculture technologies can be scaled up to save lives

Expanding technologies that can improve and save millions of lives will be the focus of Purdue's Scale Up Conference on Sept. 25-27, the first of its kind in North America. President Mitch Daniels will make opening remarks and Akinwumi Adesina, World Food Prize laureate, president of the African Development Bank and Purdue alumnus, will deliver the public keynote address. The event will be livestreamed.

Homecoming and a happy 150th birthday to Purdue

It's Homecoming. And this year, it's the official start of the yearlong celebration of Purdue's sesquicentennial birthday, 150 Years of Giant Leaps. The year will highlight Purdue's remarkable history of giant leaps, while focusing on what giant leaps the University can take to address the world's problems. The campaign is launching at Homecoming 2018 and concluding with an astronaut reunion during Homecoming 2019.

Lockheed Martin CTO to discuss ‘Innovations on the Horizon of Flight'

Rolls-Royce and Purdue's School of Aeronautics and Astronautics will host Dana “Keoki” Jackson, chief technology officer at Lockheed Martin, on Monday (Sept. 24) as part of the Charles Rolls and Henry Royce Lecture Series. Jackson will share what’s next on the horizon of flight, what awe-inspiring innovations today’s students will have an opportunity to help pioneer and why this is the most exciting time to be an aerospace engineer in over a generation.
