Spring Fest

Weekend to bring Spring Fest, astronaut reunion, more

Purdue will host a variety of free, fun and educational activities, including Spring Fest, a reunion of Purdue astronaut alumni, Purdue football's spring game, and the Purdue Challenge 5K run/walk, this weekend (April 12-13).

University committee looking at faculty and staff leaves

The complex array of leaves the University provides for employees is being studied by a group of faculty and staff from the West Lafayette, Calumet, Fort Wayne and North Central campuses.

Provost finalist presentation to be held Monday

One of the three finalists for the position of Purdue provost will make a public presentation at 9:30 a.m. Monday (April 14) in Stewart Center's Fowler Hall. The finalist is Christine M. Maziar, vice president and senior associate provost and professor of electrical and computer engineering at the University of Notre Dame.

Road to Retirement offered today for employees age 55 and older

Human Resources invites benefits-eligible employees age 55 and older to the Road to Retirement program being held today (April 10).

Staff memorial to be held April 24

Staff members from the West Lafayette campus who have died during the past calendar year will be honored and remembered at a ceremony on April 24.

Introduction to video creation made easy offered to faculty, staff

Sessions on video editing and publishing will be part of spring workshops ITaP is offering for faculty and staff on Video Express, Purdue's automated self-service video recording sites, and the Qualtrics Web-based survey software. The Video Express sessions are featured in ITaP's finals week workshop series, which includes a round-robin educational technology forum.

Low-risk patients 3 times less likely to be admitted to hospital in medication therapy management study of home-health patients

Low-risk Medicare patients entering home health care who received medication therapy management by phone were three times less likely to be hospitalized within the next two months, while those at greater risk saw no benefit, according to a study led by Purdue.
