Friday Night Lights is a program that is run by the Sustainability Student Council that works to reduce energy waste at Purdue by turning off lights in major academic buildings on Fridays to keep them from wasting energy for the entire weekend. Last year over 38,000 lights were turned off by Friday Night Lights volunteers throughout the course of the year.
We hope to continue this awesome trend in the 2014-2015 season but the success of the program completely depends on volunteers. Check out this video that explains what you would be doing as an Friday Night Lights volunteer, and the perks of volunteering.
