Online Export Control Training

Online export control training is available through the CITI program. Training is required for personnel to participate in a controlled project, however anyone interested can take the training.

Insider Threat Awareness Training

This course provides a thorough understanding of how Insider Threat Awareness is an essential component of a comprehensive security program. With a theme of "if you see something, say something," the course promotes the reporting of suspicious activities observed within the workplace. DoD Derivative Classification Training

Personnel with access to classified IT must complete the DoD Derivative Classification Training annually. You can take the training at the following link:https://securityawareness.usalearning.gov/derivative/index.htm

Once completed, please send the training certificate to fso@purdue.edu.

DoD Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) Training

Certain Department of Defense Contracts require Controlled Unclassified Information Training. You can take the training at the following link: https://securityhub.usalearning.gov/index.html

Once completed, please send the training certificate to exportcontrols@purdue.edu. Include in your email the project for which the training was Required.

DoD OPSEC Awareness Training

Certain Department of Defense Contracts require Operational Security (OPSEC) Training. You can take the training at the following link: https://securityawareness.usalearning.gov/opsec/index.htm

Once completed, please send the training certificate to exportcontrols@purdue.edu. Include in your email the project for which the training was Required.

Online Foreign Corrupt Practices Act Training

When you are traveling abroad, conducting collaborations with foreign entities or hosting foreign visitors in the U.S., you should be aware of the prohibitions contained in the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act regarding the giving of anything of value to foreign officials for the improper purpose of securing business, funding or any other improper advantage. Penalties for violation of these prohibitions include prison time, heavy fines and disqualification as a government contractor for individual Principal Investigators, University officers and/or the University. Online Data Security Training

In order to compliance with federal cybersecurity requirements and best practices for safeguarding digitally stored controlled information, Purdue personnel on a TCP are required to complete annual data security training.
