In 2002, a Steering Committee was formed to direct efforts to ensure HIPAA compliance at Purdue. This committee has been a critical force in implementing the policies and procedures necessary at Purdue. The committee members are:

The HIPAA compliance strategy includes the naming of a liaison in each of the covered entities at Purdue and for each of the regionals. The liaisons are the first point of contact for communications and enforcement of the policies and procedures in the various areas. Following are the liaison committee members:
