Now in its eighth year of publication, the Purdue University Data Digest provides a rich resource of information on topics covering the spectrum of Purdue's activities in Learning, Discovery, and Engagement. The Digest is available not only in hard copy, but also on CD-ROM and on Purdue's Web site. It is accessible to all those interested in learning more about Purdue.

The 2007-08 Data Digest expanded coverage to include Purdue's international activities that support the engagement mission. It also includes programs associated with international students at Purdue.

A new era began in July 2007, when Dr. France A. Córdova was appointed by the Board of Trustees as the 11th President of Purdue following the
retirement of President Martin C. Jischke. Work is underway to develop the next strategic plan, which will position Purdue to reach higher levels of
excellence in strategic areas and be recognized among the best universitities of the world.

It is our hope that you will find this eighth edition of the Data Digest to be a valuable resource for information about Purdue University.
