Nominations sought for Purdue University Dreamer Award

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2023 Purdue University Dreamer Award. The Dreamer Award has been presented annually since 2004 to an individual or organization within the Purdue community whose contributions embody Martin Luther King Jr.’s vision of service to others and further the university’s commitment to diversity. The deadline to apply is Dec. 16.

Purdue-led project awarded $5 million for Greater Lafayette to grow semiconductor industry workforce

A Purdue-led project will receive $5 million in funding through a Greater Lafayette economic development initiative to support the expected regional workforce demand in the promising semiconductor manufacturing industry, Purdue and community officials announced Wednesday (Dec. 7). Purdue partnered on a Greater Lafayette Commerce proposal that highlighted over 40 regional projects designed to retain and attract workforce talent through the state of Indiana’s Regional Economic Acceleration and Development Initiative, or READI.
