When spacecraft explode, this engineer looks for answers in the debris left behind

Much of the space junk orbiting Earth won’t clean up itself – or tell you how it got there. Purdue University’s Carolin Frueh and her team are investigating what causes spacecraft to become space junk. Their findings are revealing ways to prevent spacecraft from breaking apart into thousands of pieces of debris that pose a threat to space stations and satellites.

Purdue University Global is partnering with Google in a shared educational initiative designed to enhance meaningful employment opportunities for adult learners through the Google Career Certificate program. The partnership aims to help job seekers navigate a shifting labor market by equipping them with in-demand skills and a path toward a four-year degree.

Campus flu shot events available this week for students, employees

Campus flu shot events will be held 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday (Nov. 2-4) in the Córdova Recreational Sports Center’s Feature Gym. Appointments are required for the events, which are open to employees and students. Additional designated campus flu shot locations are also still available.

PPHS football program centers on collaboration, camaraderie

When Dante Cook signed on as football head coach at Purdue Polytechnic High School, he was starting a brand-new team from scratch. His competitive spirit, desire to make a difference and deep care for the students made it possible for PPHS students to be a part of the football program.
