Former U.S. surgeon general named Presidential Fellow, to lead health equity initiatives at Purdue

Dr. Jerome Adams, former Indiana state health commissioner and the 20th U.S. surgeon general, will join Purdue today (Oct. 1) as a Presidential Fellow and the University’s first executive director of health equity initiatives, professor of practice in the departments of Pharmacy Practice and Public Health and a faculty member of the Regenstrief Center for Healthcare Engineering at Purdue. Space Force, Purdue partner on STEM education, innovation

Purdue University, known as the “Cradle of Astronauts,” established a new partnership with the U.S. Space Force on Wednesday (Sept. 29) to use university research, innovation and talent development as the latest member of the Space Force’s University Partnership Program. President Mitch Daniels and Gen. David D. “DT” Thompson, USSF vice chief of space operations, signed a memorandum of agreement at Hovde Hall on the Purdue campus.

Activities include the Purdue Homecoming Parade, Boilermaker Boulevard on Stadium Mall, "Thrill on the Hill" with the Purdue “All-American” Marching Band, and Purdue football's game against Minnesota.
