Dr. Jerome Adams, former Indiana state health commissioner and the 20th U.S. surgeon general, will join Purdue today (Oct. 1) as a Presidential Fellow and the University’s first executive director of health equity initiatives, professor of practice in the departments of Pharmacy Practice and Public Health and a faculty member of the Regenstrief Center for Healthcare Engineering at Purdue. Purdue University, known as the “Cradle of Astronauts,” established a new partnership with the U.S. Space Force on Wednesday (Sept. 29) to use university research, innovation and talent development as the latest member of the Space Force’s University Partnership Program. President Mitch Daniels and Gen. David D. “DT” Thompson, USSF vice chief of space operations, signed a memorandum of agreement at Hovde Hall on the Purdue campus.

Purdue will welcome alumni and friends back to campus for Homecoming festivities today and Saturday (Oct. 1-2).
